MILTON Keynes’ newly crowned best Asian chef has produced a special menu to celebrate his victory.

Saj Khan, the head chef at Stony Stratford’s Calcutta Brasserie, was named Asian Chef of the Year at last Sunday’s Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards.

And to commemorate the restaurant has produced a special menu featuring the three course meal that saw Mr Khan win the title.

It consists of crispy king prawn pate, served with a roasted pepper jam, as a starter; a main course of pan fried spicy beef steak with a butternut squash pilau rice; and for dessert a cream bavarois with Tandoori pineapple.

The meal will cost £35 with £5 going to Age UK Milton Keynes.

The Calcutta Brasserie also scooped the award for the Best Asian Restaurant in Milton Keynes – beating off the likes of the Jaipur, Taipan and Orchid Lounge.
