A car burst into flames inside a Bletchley workshop - forcing the building to be evacuated as staff dealt with the fire.
Firefighters have praised staff at the Barton Road garage for their quick actions that stopped the fire spreading after it broke out at 12.30pm.
Watch commander Chris Montague from Bletchley Fire Station said: “The building’s occupants reacted very quickly to the fire and used a 9kg powder dry extinguisher to knock down the flames before carrying out a full evacuation.
“This intervention reduced the damage caused to the vehicle, prevented smoke damage to the premises and prevented the fire from developing into a more serious incident.
“The crew from Bletchley assisted in removing the car, damping down the car’s engine using a hose reel and giving advice to the vehicle owner and the occupants of the premises.”
