Carers from Tyringham's Park House help out their colleague
They are raising £3,000 cash to help reduce Dawn Kitchener’s stress – by repairing her leaking roof.
The mum-of-four and her partner Tony both care for elderly residents at Park House in Tyringham.

But on top of Dawn’s cancer problems, they are having to deal with the major irritation of water dripping through the roof of their Newport Pagnell home.
The resulting dampness is causing Dawn’s two young sons to be ill with asthma.
“We are trying to relieve some stress for her at this difficult time and provide her with a safe and
healthy environment while having treatment,” said Park House colleague Kelly Panter.

Dawn, who is 44, has inflammatory breast cancer and had a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy last year.
But last month a biopsy sadly confirmed the cancer has returned. She is now awaiting a scan to check for stage 4 cancer.
“Dawn is a valued member of the care team here at Park House and we want to do all we can to help,” said Kelly.
“She is such a caring person herself and she devotes her life to caring for others. Now we want to do something caring to help her.”

The team is organising a coffee and cake afternoon at Park House on Saturday May 7, between 2pm and 4pm. All are welcome to attend.
MK Dons have donated a family ticket and this will be raffled or auctioned on the day.
