The Casino MK has celebrated its first big milestone after the popular venue marked its first six months in the city.
In that time it has quickly established itself as the premier leisure and entertainment venue in the city by welcoming over 300,000 people. With the introduction of new higher jackpot limits in early 2014, the slots have proved particularly popular and the venue has already had four jackpot winners, between them winning over £57,000.
It has also created more than 200 jobs, with the vast majority going to local people. By developing closer links with MK College they have directly benefitted students with skills training and providing ‘real-world’ opportunities. The Casino MK has also embraced the business community by sponsoring the upcoming MK Business Achievement Awards, hosting charitable events such as SportsAid, and becoming actively involved with tourism service provider, Destination Milton Keynes.
It also created the Milton Keynes CARG group (Community Action for Responsible Gaming) to constructively address problem gambling issues in the community it operates within.
Richard Noble, Chief Operating Officer at Aspers Group, said: “We are delighted with the performance of The Casino MK in its first 6 months of operation, which has exceeded our expectations. The most pleasing aspect for me has been the overwhelmingly positive reaction of our customers, with over 96% of people visiting in the opening few weeks confirming they planned to visit again.”
