The team at nursing home in Milton Keynes have been doing their bit to help local people in need by collecting provisions for the MK Food Bank.

Sanctuary Care’s Caton House Nursing Home has been supporting the city’s food bank, which distributes parcels of tinned and non-perishable food to people across the city, since last year and the team and residents will present their latest collection to the charity tomorrow.

The home’s activities leader Rebecca Killman, who organises the collection said: “Whenever we go shopping the team at Caton House Nursing Home - and the relatives and friends of our residents - pick up a little extra and it doesn’t add much to our food bill, but can really help a family in crisis.

“We do have a really large collection of food for the charity every month and people are very generous because it’s such a worthwhile cause.”
