Center Parcs has announced the opening date of its new Woburn Forest Village, welcoming its first guests on June 6.
Woburn Forest, which has been under construction for two years, will be the fifth Village in the UK and the closest Center Parcs to London.
Woburn Forest will be home to 625 lodges, a 75-bedroom hotel, Center Parcs’ largest Subtropical Swimming Paradise in the UK and a state-of-the-art Aqua Sana spa with six luxury Spa Suites.
The new Village will also offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities so that families can create their own unique short break in the forest. There are also a wide range of shops and restaurants, including The Shearing House, a restaurant that will be unique to Woburn Forest.
Center Parcs Woburn Forest has created 1,500 jobs for people in the surrounding areas of Bedfordshire including Milton Keynes; 92per cent of employees have come from within 15 miles of the site and many of those are between the ages of 16 and 24.
Martin Dalby, ceo of Center Parcs said:“We are thrilled to be able to reveal our opening date of June 6. This new Village has brought lots of job opportunities and investment into the area as well as opening up the Center Parcs experience to even more families in the UK. Everyone has been working so hard getting ready for opening, and I know how excited our team are about welcoming our first guests in a few weeks.”
Summer breaks, for June 2014, at Woburn Forest start from £399 (selected breaks).
