When it comes to raising money for charity, the team at motor retailer Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes never shy away from a challenge.
On Friday the team entered the 2014 Sport Relief Challenge with a relay team to climb the equivalent of the combined height of the Three Peaks Challenge, on the Milton Keynes Big Rock climbing wall which was on site for the day.
The team climbed the wall 400 times during the day to achieve their goal, using all four climbing routes under the expert guidance of the professional Big Rock climbing team. Sporting fancy dress was the dress code of the day, and some special rock cakes were prepared for refreshments.
Team organiser, Simon Stockton, said: “This will be our most challenging fundraiser yet as it takes place during working hours and we need to look after our customers too. We always have great support when we take on these challenges and we hope to raise a lot of money for Sport Relief this year.”
Managing director, Warren Brearley, said: “We all looked forward to being part of the team on this challenge. We support a number of local charities chosen by the staff each year. Sport Relief calls for a really big team effort from us and it was good to work with Big Rock, a great local sport attraction in MK.”
