The Powerleague in Milton Keynes is holding a five-a-side football tournament in aid of disabled war veterans in October.
On October 13 at 2pm, the tournament will be held as one of a series of heats taking place at 14 Powerleague centres across the UK to raise money for the Royal Marines Hasler Company as part of the Royal Marines Charity Cup.
The Grand Final will be held at Powerleague Wembley on October 20, with the money raised going to the charity which is dedicated to the specific and complex needs of seriously injured and ill Royal Marines who require bespoke programmes to aid their recovery.
CEO of Powerleague, Sean Tracey said: “With 46 state-of-the-art soccer centres across the UK and 130,000 visitors each week, the Royal Marines Charity Cup is a great opportunity to increase awareness of the Hasler Company’s important work, while raising much needed funds.
“Five-a-side and seven-a-side football is a great way to keep fit and socialise; this tournament offers the additional benefit of a great prize, all in the name of a very good cause.”
