A city pupil could see their design on letters across the world this Christmas through a Royal Mail competition.

MP for Milton Keynes South, Iain Stewart has thrown his weight behind the competition which will be open to children between four and 11-years-old with the theme What Does Christmas Mean to You?

One winner will see their design on a First Class Christmas stamp while the other on a Second Class Christmas stamp.

Mr Stewart is encouraging local schools and parents of home-schooled children to quickly sign up for this competition, as entries must be received by July 19.

He said: “We have a variety of talent locally and what is often required is an opportunity for this to be demonstrated. I really am looking forward to hearing that one of our pupils has been successful in the competition.”

Full details of the competition, including how to enter, can be found at www.royalmail.com/designastamp
