IF you like singing then the Milton Keynes Rock Choir could be for you.
The group was started in Surrey in 2005 and since then has grown across the country to areas including Milton Keynes, Bedford and Luton.
Now dozens of people meet in the city to sing in the contemporary choir singing rock, pop, gospel and Motown.
And people of all abilities, from all backgrounds, are welcome to come along to the weekly rehearsals or even try one of their taster sessions.
Milton Keynes Rock Choir leader, Jamie Serafi, said: “It is amazing that most people who come along to try out Rock Choir for their free taster session don’t necessarily think they are very good singers at all.
“We firmly believe anyone can sing and the beautiful rich sound 30 or more people in Rock Choir can make after just a few weekly sessions is incredible.”
Many people tell Jamie of life-changing experiences they have enjoyed by being in Rock Choir after discovering their new found confidence helps them in other areas of their lives.
Some people choose to try Rock Choir to help them through difficult times while others join with a friend or family member just for fun. However, for most it offers an enjoyable and fulfilling challenge and great sense of achievement.
Free taster sessions are offered to anyone who would like to come along. Milton Keynes Rock Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at Sycamore Hall, Drayton Road, Bletchley.
