The Milton Keynes Council of Faiths held their annual dinner at the Himalaya Tandoori Restaurant in Bletchley with the Mayor of Milton Keynes as the guest of honour.
Different faith groups were well represented at the annual dinner on Monday, March 24, with Baha’i, Buddhist, various Christian denominations, Hindu, Jewish, both Shi’a and Sunni Muslims and Sikh faiths all represented.
Richard Wightman, chairman said: “We were honoured that the Mayor, Councillor Brian White, was able to honour us with his presence and to engage in discussion with our members.”
Mr White said: “It was a very helpful discussion at the Council of Faiths dinner. Lots of opportunities for MK Council and various groups to take positive steps to help the city develop. Also useful suggestions about how to build relationships with the various political parties and other key organisations.”
