THE former leader of the Lib Dems in Milton Keynes braved the elements this week to raise money for the Food Bank.

Sam Crooks took to a stall outside Christ The Cornerstone to encourage Christmas shoppers passing by to donate generously to the Food Bank charity.

“People have been so generous,” said Mr Crooks. “We have set our target at £3,000 and we have raised in excess of £1,500 since Monday.”

To pledge to the Food Bank, visit www.localgiving.com and search for Cornerstone, or you can text donations of £5 or £10 to 70070, start your message with MKCC12.
