Throughout December, Red Hot World Buffet & Bar invited customers to donate brand new toys in exchange for discounted meals.
Approximately 30 toys were handed to staff from Milton Keynes’ MK-ACT, a domestic violence charity for families.
Restaurant Manager Sunil Ganpati said: “This is a very special time of the year for so many people but it can be a hard for some. We wanted to bring them a little bit of joy to the families and supporters of MK-ACT over Christmas and show our support for a local charity.”
Red Hot World Buffet has also offer to give a free meal for everyone at MK-ACT in the New Year to further show their support
MK-ACT is the domestic violence charity in Milton Keynes; they provide support and safe accommodation for women and children escaping or living with domestic abuse. Many of the families will have come into the refuge with little or no belongings and at this time of the year to be able to give each child a present will help them to regain some normality at a difficult time.
