Cinderella searches for a posh frock in Midsummer Place!

It is almost Christmas time and in Milton Keynes there is more on offer than simply mistletoe and wine. We have a Hollywood legend in our midst!

Mickey Rooney enjoyed a professional relationship with Judy Garland and at one point was the top earning star in Hollywood.

Still going strong at 89, the man with one of the longest lists of film credits in the business will be playing Baron Hardup in Cinderella at Milton Keynes Theatre.

Comedian Bobby Davro, personality Anthea Turner, musician Ben Adams and local lady turned West End success Louise Dearman will all be starring in the fairtytale.

The production doesn't begin until December 4, but on Saturday (Nov 28) you get the chance to meet the cast when they pop into the Midsummer Place shopping centre..

But they wont be going alone.

You will have the chance to be photographed in Cinderella's carriage complete with real life Shetland ponies.

Waterstone's Bookstore will be telling the magical Cinderella story and free craft workshops will show youngsters how to make a crown fit for a royal.

Professional choreographers from the pantomime will show you how to move like the stars, and face painting will leave everyone looking like princesses.

If you are shopping on Saturday and intend to pop along the beauty counters in Debenhams, be careful though.

A decidedly 'ugly' surprise will greet you!

Cinderella's Ball comes with special goody bags for visitors, and the chance to win some fantastic prizes.
