THE festive season is far from full of cheer for dozens of unlucky cats this week.

For the RSPCA is rushed of its feet this month dealing with the usual pre-Christmas influx of dumped or unwanted pets.

The saddest case saw three small kittens abandoned at the side of a busy road between Towcester and Deanshanger last week.

Fortunately the shivering and starving trio were spotted by a motorist who took them to the RSPCA.

The Three Musketeers, along with our other Citikats, are desperate for a home before Christmas.

Please call 01908 611179 if you can help.

> THE THREE MUSKETEERS are 12 weeks old and can be rehomed separately or together. Sill timid, they need extra loving homes.

> HOLLY and IVY, mother and daughter, are three and four years of age and adore each other. They are affectionate and friendly.

> SHADOW, eight, was the victim of severe cruelty. Bald and sick when she arrived, she’s now fit and sleek and needing a home.

> SOPHIE, two, is a loving little cat who has recovered from her bad start in life. She loves to sit on a lap and be stroked for hours.
