Beki Eastwood will be visiting The Kia Oval cricket ground on October 14 hoping to become Sir Ian Botham’s apprentice.

Beefeater’s Boss of Beef, Sir Ian Botham, and The Barn in Milton Keynes, have been looking for someone to become his apprentice and win a lifetime supply of free steak.

Beki, 26, is one of a final five who will spend the day with Sir Ian at The Oval and if she is successful in the competition she will be given top tips from the steak fan himself and learn how to cook the perfect dish.

She will also get a lifetime supply of steak at The Barn.

Sir Ian Botham, said: “This summer, I’ve had the chance to combine my passion for food and cricket in my role as Beefeater’s Boss of Beef. I’ll be in Oz this winter so I’ve been looking for a worthy candidate from Milton Keynes who can step into my chef whites and become Beefeater’s new Boss of Beef. I will be getting to know Beki and giving her a friendly grilling at the Oval before I decide if she is up to the role.”

Sarah Tinsley, brand manager for Beefeater said, “With Sir Ian’s help we have been able to put steak back into the heart of the nation this summer. After an incredible summer we are really excited to see who our Boss of Beef chooses to taken on this incredible role.”
