A CHARITY Classic Car Run set to take place on New Years Day will start at the home of racing in MK.

The First Run 2012, which aims to raise money for The Friends of the Walnuts, will begin at Red Bull Racing’s Tillbrook headquarters.

This year 75 classic cars will take place in the event, which sees drivers and co-drivers navigate their way through the Buckinghamshire countryside to a check point at the Stony Stratford Vintage Car Gathering and then onto the wonderful Art Deco setting of Sywell Aerodrome.

As well as The First Run cars on display at Sywell, the Aviation Museum will be open from 12noon. Food will be available in the Aviator Hotel and the challenging Murray Walker Pub Quiz will start at 1.30pm. Organiser Michael Pacey said: “The continued success of ‘The First Run’ event is very important to me and all monies raised from the event to will be donated to The Friends of the Walnuts.”
