Frosts Garden Centre at Woburn Sands has launched a new home grown competition for children across Milton Keynes to grow and showcase their own harvest at the annual Autumn festival.

Schools, scouts, brownies and youth clubs are being invited to take up the challenge as part of the Centre’s annual push to encourage people to ‘Grow Your Own’. If you are already in full swing of growing your own maroons, or pumpkins, then this is the competition for you!

The home grown produce will be entered into the local centre by 21st October, ready for viewing and judging by the general public at the centres Autumn Festival on October 27 and 28.

The winner will receive a wheelbarrow full of Frosts goodies.

James Frost, Managing Director at Frosts Garden Centres said: “We are delighted to launch another initiative in our aim to try and get children of all ages to learn the importance of growing their own produce. Growing their own produce is going to be a challenging task, so children can enter individually or as part of a group or entire school. I look forward to seeing the entries in October.”
