Yes the whole family, including your four legged friends, can join Willen Hospice on Saturday, June 2 to take part in their Diamond Jubilee Walk for Willen.
The sponsored walk is a three mile circuit of the North and South Willen Lakes, or a shorter walk of one and a half miles around the North Lake only, both of which start and finish at the Hospice. Walking can start at anytime from 10:30am on the day and walkers should aim to be finished by 1:30pm, when they can enjoy refreshments in the Hospice Garden.

Events and Community Fundraiser, Allison Waterhouse said: “We’re really looking forward to our Jubilee Walk for Willen in the Queens Diamond Jubilee year. It’s going to be a great, fun event to be enjoyed by those with two legs or four and we are looking forward to seeing lots of imaginative fancy dress.”
There will also be a special memory wall erected on the fence by the lake, in the Hospice grounds, for people to leave a message in memory of a loved one. Cards will be available on the day or can be requested beforehand by contacting the Hospice.
The registration fee for the Walk for Willen is £5 for adults in advance, £6 on the day and £1 for 16 and under in advance, £1.50 on the day – dogs walk for free
