With just 51 days to go until Christmas, the mayor and mayoress of Milton Keynes are sending out invitations to the annual Christmas Carol Service.

Councillor Keith McLean and his wife Victoria hope to see as many people as possible attending the Carol Service, on December 2 at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone in the city centre.

Mr McLean said: “The Mayor’s Christmas Carol Service is always very popular and we want this year to be no exception.

“The City Church – as it is popularly known – is an excellent and very popular venue, and we want to see as many people there as possible singing several well-known and popular carols.

“Please come along, and have some fun.”

The Carol Service starts at 5.45pm, and will be followed by the lighting of the Cornerstone Christmas Tree, next to the Church, at 7pm.

The Mayor’s chosen charities this year are the Royal British Legion and the Milton Keynes Hospital Charity.
