Britain’s Got Talent star Bailey McConnell delighted patients on Milton Keynes Hospital children’s ward with a surprise visit today.
The 14-year old singer-songwriter, who wowed audiences across the country with his audition on the ITV talent show last month, spent time with many of the patients, chatting and handing out cuddly toys and gifts.
Bailey is also offering his support to the children’s ward fundraising campaign Leo’s Appeal, which is raising funds for the ward – and took time out to sign a T-shirt which will be auctioned for the appeal.
Alison Turner, senior sister on the children’s ward, said: “We’re so grateful to Bailey and his family for coming to see us and spend time with many of the children on the ward. This can be a tough time for a child to be in hospital and they were thrilled and thoroughly enjoyed meeting him.”
Bailey will find out next weekend if he has made it through to the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent. However in the meantime he has been pulling in tens of thousands of fans on social media, and his audition has been watched almost three million times on Youtube.
