Commuters were in chaos tonight after a person was hit by a train at the peak of rush hour.
All services to and from Milton Keynes Station were suspended for a while after the incident.
Virgin Trains announced at 5.52pm that all services were stopped from London Euston due to “a person being hit by a train at Milton Keynes.”
A post on London Midland’s Twitter account stated: “Trains to and from Euston suspended. Platforms at MK Central station evacuated whilst the sad incident is attended to by the emergency services.
“Expect delays and cancellations.”
UPDATE: London Midland says the slow line has now re-opened and services will begin calling at Milton Keynes Central.
