THE historic town of Wolverton has joined forced with the high tech world of Facebook to produce a book of recollections.
Newly published paperback ‘I Grew Up In Wolverton’ shares thoughts and memories of life in the old railway town from residents past and present. It has resulted from The Wolverton Facebook Group, a page on the popular social networking site started four years ago.
The group now has more than 800 members, who write about their experiences of growing up in Wolverton over the decades Writer Brian Dunleavy spotted the potential of the recollections and offered to compile them in a book.
‘I Grew Up in Wolverton’, written by Ruth Edwards, is available now in Old Fire Station next to the town’s Tesco.
