SOMETHING spooky was happening at Frosts Garden Centre last weekend for the Halloween themed Pumpkin, Pear and Apple Festival.

The event saw Halloween and Harvest festivities merge and Frosts came to life with a huge array of attractions.

They included the Creepy Crawly Road Show, which inivted visitors to get up close and personal with any number of curious creatures. Traditional Halloween favourites such as apple bobbing and pumpkin scooping and carving were on offer, with prizes given out to children who arrived in fancy dress. Refreshments included pear cider, pumpkin popcorn and toffee apple candyfloss with music coming from the Concrete Cowboys. Blue Peter gardener Chris Collins also dropped to sign copies of his new book ‘Grow Your Own for Kids.’
