Landing rockets imagination

A UFO crash landing at Knowles Junior School is inspiring youngsters to sharpen their drama and writing skills.

Children at the Bletchley school were very surprised to discover the spaceship on their school field.

A startled alien had hidden in the bushes and wandered out to be greeted by the curious children.

The local PCSO was on hand as pupils learned that the alien had lost his way and crashed due to a malfunction in his spaceship.

Staff worked hard to create a range of experiences to make learning fun as part of a special Literacy Week which focused on drama and writing.

Deputy Headteacher Catherine Hoskin said: “The alien was extremely friendly and really sparked the children’s imagination.

“We will be spending the rest of the week writing adventure stories, reports and interviews about this.”
