Movie-goers will soon have the chance to see an Oscar-nominated film for free at a special screening.

The screening of Chasing Ice, which includes the work of acclaimed photographer James Balog, is being hosted by the Co-operative Membership in partnership with Milton Keynes Friends of the Earth and Transition MK.

Sabina Crouch, the Co-operative’s membership officer, said: “This award winning film has been screened at The White House, the US Congress and the United Nations and we are delighted to be able to bring it to Milton Keynes.

“James Balog has been a leading photographer for three decades and was once sceptic about climate change until he saw first hand its devastating effects - this film captures those shocking and hauntingly beautiful scenes.”

The film will be shown at The Chrysalis Theatre, Camphill at 2.15pm on January 26.

To reserve your place call 01908 361500 or email membership.centralandeastern@cooperative.coop with your name and number of places needed.
