Banana Tree, who are renowned for healthy, Indochinese food, will be opening a new restaurant in the Hub in July.

The Hub announced the news on social media last night, followed by a competition to win £60 by sharing the facebook post.

The latest restaurant, joining over a dozen eateries in the Hub, will offer food inspired by Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, common ingredients such as lemongrass, coconut, galangal, Thai basil and coriander in their cooking. They will also offer Indochinese-inspired cocktails.

Some of their dishes are suitable for both vegans and vegetarians.

Banana Tree, which originally began in 1991 as a 36 seater restaurant in Maida Vale, grew into seven restaurants in and around London. Their Milton Keynes restaurant will be their largest.

Founder and head chef, William Chow, said: “We chose Milton Keynes and the Hub for its dynamic neighbourhood and buzzing night life.

“Banana Tree prides itself on bringing healthy, authentic and delicious dishes from the Indochina region of South East Asia, as well as innovative drinks and cocktails, with a warm and friendly service,”
