WOLVERTON and Stony Stratford Rotary Club’s Christmas float is getting ready to hit the road again around the northern parts of Milton Keynes and surrounding areas between December 3 and 23.

The club’s Santa Tour, complete with sleigh and Christmas Carols, is always a big hit with children as well as grown-ups when it tours the streets. On certain days it will also be at Budgens in Stony Stratford, Sainsbury’s in The Hub, CMK and Tescos in Wolverton.

Last year’s Santa Tour raised over £6,200 which was distributed to several local charities and community organisations, including Willen and Keech Hospices, the Association of Young People with ME, Wolverton Inner Wheel Club, St Mary & St Giles School, the Ark Refuge, Kids Out, MK Bereavement Service and various local Scout, Guide and cadet Groups.

Here’s the planned schedule and starting points for the Rotary Santa float in December:

Monday, December 3, New Bradwell, Caledonian Road, between 6pm and 8pm.

Wednesday, December 5, Two Mile Ash, Local Centre, High Street between 6pm and 8pm

Thursday December 6 and 13 at Stony Stratford Library between 6pm and 8pm
Friday December 7 and Wednesday December 19 at Deanshanger, High Street/Hayes Road between 6pm and 8pm

Saturday, December 8 and 15 at Budgens, Stony Stratford between 9am and 3pm
Monday, December 10 in Wolverton, Aylesbury Street West between 6pm and 8pm

Wednesday, December 12 at Great Holm, Local Centre, Kensington Drive between 6pm and 8pm
Friday, December 14 in Potterspury, Sanders Lane, between 6pm and 8pm

Monday, December 17, in Old Stratford, Chapmans Drive, between 6pm and 8pm

Thursday, December 20, Friday, December 21 and Saturday 22 at Sainsbury’s, The Hub, between 10am and 9pm

Sunday, December 23, Tesco, Wolverton, between 10am and 5pm
