Five mummy bloggers from Milton Keynes were joined by a jumbo presence as they completed their leg of a Sport Relief challenge.

Claire Smith, Sandy Calico, Gemma Marshall, Hayley Shutterflies and Marissa Bird were joined by an elephant as they took to the streets for Team Honk in the Sport Relief bloggers relay.

Sandy, representing Baby Baby blog, had never run a day in her life, until recently. The mum of two spent Tuesday, February 4, running five kilometres with red pants on her head. The baton was then taken by the five women to Woburn Safari Park where Damini the elephant got her trunk on it.

Team member Claire Smith, said: “We were so thrilled to be part of the Team Honk Sport Relief bloggers relay. Spending a Monday morning with an elephant was the most fun EVER.”

Team Honk are now ravelling around the country with a baton to raise money for Sport Relief. In each area bloggers will walk, jog, roller skate, swim, pushing buggies, jumping on trains, fly, space hop and more to get the baton all the way from Land’s End to John O’ Groats. In total the teams will travel 3,000 miles in six weeks and the challenge will include more than 150 bloggers.

The local team are hoping to raise over £500 for Sport Relief, while the full challenge is hoping to raise more than £10,000. Money raised from Sport Relief will be spent helping some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in Milton Keynes, the rest of the UK and around the world.
