Both will open in the Western Expansion area - one in Whitehouse this September, with the second, in Fairfield, set to open its doors in September 2017.

“We are absolutely delighted that we have been given the opportunity to establish these two important community facilities,” said Sarah Bennett, Headteacher of Two Mile Ash school.

“Given how new the developments are it will be essential that we work in partnership with Milton Keynes Council and representatives of the new communities to establish provision about which the community is proud.

“I am really excited about welcoming new children and their families into what I know will be first class provision,” she added.

Milton Keynes Council is midway through an ambitious £160m development programme to create seven new schools, and expand 12 more.

The work will create more than 10,000 new school places by 2018.
