Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was killed in a road traffic collision this morning.
The pedestrian, a 21-year-old woman from Milton Keynes, died at the scene. Her next of kin has been informed.
The incident happened shortly before 8am in Tongwell Street, Broughton, causing major delays during the early morning rush hour. The road was closed while Roads Policing officers examined the scene but both carriageways have since reopened.
PC Daniel Smith, of Thames Valley Police Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “We are investigating the circumstances of this fatal collision and I am appealing for any witnesses to contact police.
“If you witnessed the collision or saw the vehicle travelling prior to the collision or the pedestrian before the incident, please speak to an officer.”
