Confirmation that Willen Surgery is to reopen next week

NHS Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has confirmed that Willen Surgery will be reopening on Monday, August 15.

Now known as NPMC@Willen it will provide GP services, physiotherapy and a number of other specialist services including diabetes, respiratory care and minor surgery and will soon be welcoming patients from the local area.

The surgery was closed in 2013, but will be reopening as a branch of Newport Pagnell Medical Centre and patients currently seen at Newport Pagnell can change their registered GP to one at Willen if it is more convenient to them.

Willen Surgery has undergone extensive refurbishment and two new doctors have been recruited to take on new patients.

Doctors from Newport Pagnell Medical Centre will also see patients at the Willen Surgery.

“Re-opening Willen Surgery is a really positive step to help keep up with increasing demand on local GP services as we see the local population continue to grow. We are delighted that Willen Surgery is reopening to give local people more choice over where they access primary care.”

A‘Registration Day’ is being held at NPMC@Willen, Beaufort Drive, Willen MK15 9ET on Saturday, August 13, for people to register in person between 8am and midday.

You will need to bring a form of identification such as a driving license or passport and address verification such as a utility bill or mortgage statement. To register children under 18 years of age, their birth certificate will be required.
