COUNCIL tenants, shared owners and leaseholders are being invited to attend an important meeting next week, to hear about and discuss issues which could affect them. The quarterly meeting of the MKC Tenants Group starts at 7.30pm next Wednesday (27/7), at Acorn House in Central Milton Keynes.

There are two very important issues to discuss at this event – area regeneration and how the council can get people involved and changes to the way the housing management team are working.

Council staff working in regeneration, alongside staff and volunteers from the Moorlands Children’s Centre will talk about how they are working to improve estates and what the benefits can be when residents get involved.

After a short break the group will hear about the council’s plans for improving the housing management service. They are changing the way they are delivering the service so that it meets people’s needs more quickly and directly.

There will plenty of opportunity for tenants to give their views and get involved.

Parking is available and transport can be arranged for those people with genuine mobility difficulties.

All council tenants, shared owners and leaseholders are welcome but you do need to book first – please call Simon or Paula on 01908 679250 or e-mail get.involved@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
