74-year-old driver and passenger, 9, hospitalised after collision

A 74-year-old man is in a critical condition and a nine-year-old is stable in hospital after a road traffic collision last night.

At 8.30pm, a red VW Polo was travelling along the V7 Saxon Street, from the H9 Groveway towards the H8 Standing Way, when it was in collision with a maroon Land Rover Discovery driving in the opposite direction.

The 74-year-old man from Bletchley, who was driving the Polo, suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition at Milton Keynes Hospital. A nine-year-old passenger, also in the VW, suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition. The driver of the Land Rover was not injured.
