Clothing haul stolen in Milton Keynes as lorry driver naps in cab

Thieves made off with 133 boxes of clothing from a lorry while the driver slept inside.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the theft, which occured at approximately 4.20am on Tuesday, February 14.

The delivery lorry was broken into on Lasborough Road in Kingston.

Whilst the driver was sleeping, unknown offenders cut a large hole into the rear nearside curtain of the lorry and 133 boxes of clothing, which were due to be delivered to a distribution centre, were stolen.

Two or three men unloading items from the lorry into a white Luton box van were seen, before driving off from the scene.

The lorry driver was not injured. The offenders were believed to have been wearing hooded tops.

“This was a significant theft from the lorry, where a large amount of a company’s stock has been stolen,” said investigating officer PC Sebastian Kuzoe.

“If anyone witnessed this offence or has been offered any clothing for sale which they believe may be stolen, please call the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101, quoting reference 43170044487.”
