Dad desperate for son to come home

A DESPERATE DAD is appealing for his runaway 14-year-old son to come home.

Michael West, who has learning difficulties and attends a special needs school, disappeared on Thursday last week from his Netherfield home.

Dad John Jordan says he had grounded him for behaving badly – but never expected his son to run away.

“I am worried sick about him. He has no money and took no clothes apart from the ones he was wearing. Also he’s asthmatic and didn’t take his asthma inhaler,” he said.

“I hate to think of him sleeping outside somewhere in the cold and wet. I just want him to know that I love him and that he won’t be in trouble if he comes home.”

So far John’s only reassurance has been a message on Facebook from Michael to his 13-year-old sister.

“He messaged her and told her that he was ok. Obviously it’s a relief to know he’s still alive but I am still worried about him.

“I haven’t a clue where he is or who he could be with.”
