Police found a dead body at a house while carrying out two arrest warrants in Beanhill.

Thames Valley Police attended a property in Neapland in Beanhill at around 3pm on Saturday following intelligence received that men wanted in connection with a burglary were at the property.

Police attended and arrested two people; a 55-year-old man from Milton Keynes, on suspicion of possessing a firearm, and a 22-year-old man from Milton Keynes, on suspicion of burglary and theft.

The 55-year-old man is currently in custody and the 22-year-old man has been bailed until 5 June.

While in attendance at around 6pm, police discovered the body of a man, aged in his 40s, in the house.

His death is being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious at this time.

His next of kin has been informed.

The arrests made earlier in the afternoon were not made in connection with the man’s death.

The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) as a matter of course, due to the presence of police at the property at the time the man’s body was discovered.

Officers remain at the scene today conducting enquiries and providing reassurance to local residents.
