A 23-year-old man was hospitalised after he was attacked with a bottle during a burglary on Saturday.

At 10.41pm, the man was walking from Campbell Park into Springfield. As he got to Kenwood Gate he was approached by a group of five or six men, and one asked him for a cigarette but he told them he didn’t smoke.

The group then surrounded him before hitting him on the head and the side of his face with the bottle before threatening him on the floor with the shattered remains.

They then stole his iPhone 5, driving licence, bank cards and £20 in cash before running towards Fishermead.

All of the group were men aged between 16 and 19-years-old and were all wearing dark clothing. One of them was white and the rest were black.

The victim suffered cuts to his face and head and was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital for treatment.
