A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with an incident which saw two men assaulted.

At about 7.55pm on May 5, two men, aged 52 and 45, were walking along Queensway, when a silver Mercedes C Class pulled up nearby and two men got out and assaulted them.

The victims both suffered cuts to their faces, but didn’t need medical treatment.

The driver of the car is Asian, about 19-years-old, 5ft 8ins, with short dark hair. He was wearing a light blue T-shirt and jeans, and was possibly wearing sunglasses. The passenger of the car is Asian, similar age and height to the driver, with dark hair, skinny, and wearing a purple T-shirt.

Police have said it looks like an unprovoked assault and officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed it or recognises the description of the men involved.

Witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
