Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a robbery on Sunday.
At about 4.30pm, a 41-year-old man had parked his car on Mallow Gate, Conniburrow, and walked across to the shops. As he reached the cycle path just off the footbridge that crosses the dual carriageway from Lloyds Court, he felt a pain in his temple and was pulled to the floor.
Two men asked the man for his wallet, which he handed over along with his tobacco tin. The wallet was later handed into the police station, although the money had been stolen from it.
The victim sustained a red scratch mark to the right side of his temple and had pain in the left side of his head. He did not require hospital treatment.
The men were both white, in their twenties, and spoke with what the victim believes were Eastern European accents. They were both wearing dark clothing and one had on a black leather jacket. Their faces were not seen.
