Man injured in attempted robbery

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Netherfield on Monday.

At around 11.30pm, a 63-year-old man was on his way home and was between Beadlemead and Farmborough, when he was pushed from behind and fell to the ground. He heard a voice say “Give us your money” but when he got up, the attackers were already running off.

The man sustained slight cuts to his knee and hand.

The offenders are described as male, wearing dark clothing, with hoods pulled up. They were about 5ft 5ins tall.
