A man who stabbed a victim in the leg after assaulting him days earlier has been jailed for 11 and a half years.
Adrian Hayward, of Mellish Court, Bletchley found guilty of two counts of GBH with intent and one count of burglary when he was sentenced at Amersham Crown Court on Wednesday, after being found guilty by a jury.
At 10.30pm on October 23 last year, Hayward entered a house in Mellish Court, before assaulting the owner causing cuts to his face, before stealing his wallet.
A week before, Hayward had stabbed the same victim in the leg.
Investigating officer, DC Darren Street said: “I welcome the custodial sentence given by the court to Hayward, who will now have time to reflect on his crimes in prison.
“The sentence sends out a strong and clear message that incidents of robbery and assault will not be tolerated, and those committing offences like this will be brought to justice.”
