Man jailed for sexually assaulting woman in her own home

A 'predatory' man who touched a woman inappropriately has been sent to prison for 20 months.

Harish Vaja, who is 59, has also been ordered to sign on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years.

Amersham Crown Court heard how the assault took place in the victim’s own home.

She was “touched inappropriately over her clothing”, say police.

Vaja, who lives on Dyers Mews, Neath Hill, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault.

Investigating officer Darryl Morvan said: “This was a predatory attack on a vulnerable woman in her own home.

“The victim showed tremendous courage and bravery giving evidence which has led to this conviction.”
