Police want to speak to this man after an elderly man was the victim of a distraction burglary.
Alex Fraser, 28, is wanted in connection with a distraction burglary in Shenley Church End on Monday, July 28.
The incident happened at around 3.30pm, when two men knocked on the victim’s door selling cleaning items. The victim let them in, where they remained for about an hour, pressurising him into buying items, which he eventually did.
During this time, one of the men disappeared from view into another area of the house.
The victim later discovered a sum of cash had been stolen from his living room and bedroom.
Det Con Leanne Shepherd said: “The offender took advantage of a vulnerable elderly man, in his own home.
“I would urge anyone who recognises the wanted man, or who has any information about the burglary, to contact police.
“We would also like to remind people to always think before they open the door and to ensure that any elderly or vulnerable family and friends know how to protect themselves from being a victim of distraction burglary.
“Have a chain fitted and make sure you use it, and keep valuable items out of reach. If you’re not sure, don’t open the door and call 999 immediately if you doubt if a caller is genuine.”
If you have any information regarding Alex Fraser’s whereabouts, contact the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
