MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman was part of a brains trust that shared ideas and knowledge about educating young offenders last week.

The Inspiration Day at MK College was chaired by college principal Nick Isles, and saw Mr Winkelman give a motivational talk on his own leadership journey and what it takes to be an inspirational leader.

Other presentations followed from the likes of college CEO Dr Julie Mills, and Maggie Smith from the Centre for Progressive Leadership.

Sally Alexander, executive director of offender learning at MK College, said: “It was a brilliant day and the team were not only inspired but could really get a sense of what they have to do to drive our provision forward.

“The highly interactive sessions meant everyone went away at the end of the day both motivated and keen to put ideas into practice. We had some excellent feedback from the day and the team felt this was just what we needed to inspire us to support our teams in delivering outstanding teaching and learning.”
