Pedestrian seriously injured in collision

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on Wednesday, in which a pedestrian was seriously injured.

It occurred at approximately 4pm on the H7 Chaffron Way, near the entrance to Monkston Park.

The pedestrian, a 40-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford.

The vehicle involved was a silver Peugeot 206, driven by a 23-year-old man.

PC Alan Turnbull, of Thames Valley Police Roads Policing Department, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw a man beside the road immediately before it.”
