Platinum and diamond ring stolen in knifepoint robbery

A woman has had her platinum and diamond ring stolen in a knifepoint robbery in Conniburrow.

The 34-year-old was walking from the city centre towards Conniburrow at 2pm on Wednesday when she saw a man walking from the Conniburrow side of the footbridge. She was halfway across when he stopped her and asked her the time.

He then pulled out a knife and pointed it towards her telling her to take off her platinum and diamond ring which he grabbed and then walked off towards the city centre.

The offender is black, medium build, 5ft 11ins, no hair on his head and clean shaven with no visible tattoos or piercings. He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and dark blue or black jeans.
