Police appeal after assault

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an assault outside Tesco Express in Melrose Avenue in Bletchley on Monday evening at about 6.15pm.

The assault came after a verbal altercation between a man and a much younger woman. Following the argument it is believed that the man drove off causing the victim to become trapped by the van door.

This knocked her to the ground and caused an injury to her leg.

PC Marcia Hardy who is investigating, said “I would like to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened as this incident resulted in a young woman being injured”.

A 50-year-old man from Bletchley has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and has been released on police bail until November 29.
