Police appeal after car collision

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an assault outside a city school.

The incident happened outside Heronsgate Middle School, in Lichfield Down, Walnut Tree at around 7.45pm on Friday.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was a passenger in a black Toyota Yaris which stopped in the road as he wanted to buy some cigarettes. He then became involved in an argument with the driver.

When he left the car he was involved in a collision with the same vehicle which resulted in him going over the bonnet.

He suffered cuts to his hands and a graze to his hip.

A 44-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail until February 4.

PC Seb Rusell, who is investigating the incident, said: “We believe this to be a domestic related incident.

“Although we have made an arrest we still need to speak to witnesses and anyone with any information about this incident should contact me urgently.”
