Thames Valley Police are urging people to close their windows when they go out after a burglary in Bletchley.

Between 11.40am and 2.05pm on Friday April 19, offenders have gained entry to a house in Severn Way by climbing through an upstairs window.

Once inside the property they conducted an untidy search and left taking a high value amount of Asian gold jewellery.

Det Con Wendy Cissell, of Local CID in Milton Keynes, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity around the time the incident took place.

“I would also like to remind people to check their home security and follow the crime reduction advice below. Due to the price of gold jewellery, it is very attractive to thieves and can be easily and quickly disposed of for melting.

“We want to stop precious items getting into the wrong hands and any information to assist us with this crime or the location of the jewellery would be treated in strictest confidence so I would urge anyone with information to call 101.”
